2025-26 Impact report released

The Commission’s Impact report 2025-26 showcases the key activities we have delivered in 2025-26. Our work aims to drive impact as a best practice regulator.

Our focus has been on supporting compliance and building the evidence base. We have worked to promote gender equality in the public sector workforce and the wider Victorian community.

This year, we supported duty holders to meet a particularly demanding reporting cycle. We maintained timely compliance assessment despite increased demand and reduced resources.

In 2025-26, the Commission:

  • supported around 300 duty holders to comply with their obligations under the Gender Equality Act
  • received around 300 workplace gender audits, 270 progress reports, and 280 gender equality action plans from duty holders
  • issued compliance feedback for 2025 audits within 4 months of submissions
  • responded to more than 2600 enquiries, with 91% responded to within 5 days
  • visited 37 duty holders, including 28 in regional and rural areas.
