Extension on submission of progress reports

Progress reports under the Gender Equality Act are now due on 20 February 2024.

The Commissioner has extended the deadline for progress reports. This applies to all defined entities.

Progress reports will now be due on 20 February 2024. This has changed from 31 October 2023.

This extension gives organisations more time to plan for the first reporting cycle. It also recognises the ongoing challenges created by COVID-19.

The period that progress reports must cover hasn’t changed:

  • 1 July 2021 to 30 June 2023 for all defined entities except universities.
  • 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2023 for universities.
