Commission for Gender Equality in the Public Sector Research Grant Round 2024
Research focus
The research will investigate what helps progress towards gender equality targets in the public service.
It aims to understand strategies, barriers and enablers to achieving gender equality workplace targets.
The successful research team will work with the Commission and government organisations taking part in the pilot project.
Gender equality targets pilot project
The research will study selected defined entities working towards targets from Our Equal State: Victoria's gender equality strategy and action plan 2023-2027.
- Action 94: Halve the gender pay gap in the Victorian public sector within 5 years through implementing the Act.
- Action 96: Reach gender equality in senior leadership positions in each portfolio across the Victorian public sector within 5 years.
- Action 97: Double the number of men taking available paid parental leave in the Victorian public sector within 5 years.
The research team will design and deliver the research component of the pilot, including its scope and methodology.
Who can apply
- Academic researchers located in tertiary education institutions
- Community sector organisations with research capacity and expertise in gender equality
- Government agencies with relevant expertise

Applicants must:

- Complete the CGEPS Grant Application Form
- Submit final application on the DFFH Grants Gateway
