Pilot Communities of Practice

The Commission is piloting Communities of Practice to support implementation of the Gender Equality Act 2020.

The Commission has funded the Action for Gender Equality Partnership to deliver pilot Communities of Practice (CoPs) to support implementation of the Gender Equality Act 2020. These CoPs will be delivered over a six-month period and will target defined entities in the following sectors and geographic locations:

  • Sports and Recreation
  • Eastern Metropolitan Region
  • Grampians and Loddon Mallee Region
  • Health Services.

Three of these CoPs are newly established structures. The Health Services CoP is an existing network that will have additional tailored support through this project.

The Commission is excited about this pilot project and communicating the findings and insights in 2022.

Victorian Health Organisation Gender Equity Network (VHOGEN)

The Victorian Health Organisation Gender Equity Network (VHOGEN) meets monthly via ZOOM and engages in themed conversations using Microsoft Teams to support members as the work towards meeting their requirements under the Victorian Gender Equality Act 2020.

Women’s Health Victoria is supporting the network in this work through the delivery of four themed network events for members over the coming months.
