Use an existing gender equality strategy as a Gender Equality Action Plan

To be considered a Gender Equality Action Plan (GEAP), your plan or strategy must meet all of the requirements under the Act.

Can my organisation's existing gender equality strategy be considered a GEAP?

1. Does your existing strategy or plan include the results of your workplace gender audit?(Required)
2. Have you ensured that any personal or potentially identifying information has been removed from your existing strategy or plan?(Required)
3. Have you consulted with your governing bodies, employees, employee representatives and other relevant people to develop your existing strategy or plan, and have you documented this process?(Required)
4. Does your existing strategy or plan clearly articulate how you have considered the Act’s gender equality principles in preparing your strategy or plan, including how you have considered intersectional gender inequality?(Required)
5. Have you documented your strategies and measures in your GEAP for 2021–2025 based on the results of your workplace gender audit?(Required)
6. Have you developed a strategic resource plan that outlines how development and implementation of your strategy or plan will be resourced?(Required)
