The past year has marked a turning point for the Commission for Gender Equality in the Public Sector. We have moved from establishment to embedding best practice as a modern regulator. This new phase sharpens our impact in reducing the harms caused by gender inequality.
Inspiring change through best practice regulation
In 2024-25, the Commission:
- engaged with hundreds of duty holders and stakeholders to build understanding of gender equality
- delivered detailed compliance feedback to help all duty holders improve their reporting
- published detailed guidance and resources to help duty holders meet their obligations
- shared comprehensive data and insights to support research, policy-making and evidence-based practice
- advocated strongly for systems and policy change to improve gender equality.
